Planning an Alaska flight experience should feel exciting — not overwhelming. Below you’ll find answers to some of our most common questions about booking, safety, what to expect, and how to prepare. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, our team is always happy to help.

Cancellations due to weather are always refundable or able to be rescheduled, pending availability. Your pilot will be keeping an eye on the weather leading up to your flight, with a final check the morning of, and will be in touch with you directly should there be a need to delay or reschedule due to weather. Often, the weather might be clear in another direction, equally accessible and beautiful. Ask your pilot about alternatives!
Togo Aviation has a flexible cancellation policy: Full refunds are available up to 7 days before your departure date; cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable but may be rescheduled, at our discretion. Cancellations due to weather are always refundable or able to be rescheduled, pending availability.
The sooner, the better! While we do offer same-day tours, our schedule fills up quickly and availability isn’t guaranteed. We have a capable team and fleet; albeit a small one.
Visiting from out of state? Give us a call as you make your travel plans and we will reserve a time slot for you.
We recommended making a reservation in advance online or via phone. Walk in guests are welcome, but we may not always be able to accommodate.

Our home base for wheel and ski-plane operations in Palmer, Alaska backs up to one of the most beautiful river valleys in the state – complete with glaciers, glacial lakes, wildlife, and unmatched views.
Our seaplane base on Wasilla Lake provides unparalleled access to thousands of lakes and waterways across the state.
We offer flightseeing tours, destination day-charters to many of Alaska’s favorite tourist towns, custom photography tours, fishing charters, remote cabin drop-offs, float-plane pick-ups at your lakeside resort, and more.
We are also an approved vendor with the Alaska Department of Fish & Game and have thousands of hours of experience flying in and around some of the most remote corners of the state.

Our fleet includes a Cessna 206 (wheels or skis, 5 passenger max), Cessna 185 (wheels, floats or skis; 3 passenger max), Cessna 180 (wheels or skis, 3 passengers max), Cessna 172 (tundra tires, 3 passengers max), and a Piper Super Cub (wheels or skis, 1 passenger max). The actual weight limits will vary depending on the destination and/or duration of each flight. Contact us for more information!

Our pilots are some of the best in the business but getting airsick can happen to anyone. Just let your pilot know and they will do their best to get you into smoother air or on the ground, if possible, as soon as possible. Our aircraft are all equipped with sick-bags in case of an emergency.
We do not have a courtesy vehicle, but we are willing to do a pick you up from Anchorage for your flightseeing tour. This will add a fee to your flight and extend your flight time. Please call our office at 907-315-9797 for more information.

We specialize in intimate flightseeing adventures. We can accommodate groups of up to five passengers in our Cessna 206. Our Cessnas 172/180/185 can accommodate groups of up to three. All flights are subject to weight and space limitations.
No, we do not have an individual passenger weight limit. As a rule of thumb, each flight tour is restricted to a maximum total of 775 pounds – including all passengers and their gear. Please note that our pilots will need to perform a weight and balance before your specific flight and custom arrangements may need to be made. Please contact us at 907-315-9797 for more information.
Unfortunately, no. FAA regulations are specific here and our pilots must do all of the flying. If you are interested in trying your hand at the controls, we recommend our sister company Blue River Aviation, also located in Palmer, AK. They offer flight instruction in everything from Cessna 172s to Super Cubs on floats and would love to take you flying.

We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time to allow for check-in and safety briefings.
Yes, all passengers have excellent views, and our pilots maneuver the aircraft to ensure everyone gets photo opportunities during the flight.
We’re happy to allow drones on our flightseeing tours! For safety reasons, your pilot will have final approval based on weather conditions and the landing location.
Yes! Children under the age of 2-years are free. Please note the infant must ride on an adult’s lap. We request advance notice of all passengers that will be on the flight, including lap babies.
The Palmer airport is located in the heart of downtown Palmer, minutes from dozens of restaurants and shops. Our favorites include the Palmer Alehouse (something for everyone), Vagabond Blues (coffee, soup & sandwiches), Turkey Red (locally sourced, rotating menu), and the Matanuska Brewery (local brews for the over 21 crowd & full menu).
Have a sweet tooth? Try Dead Horse Donuts or Big Dipper Icecream – both made from scratch with local ingredients.
Driving into Palmer you will pass a sign stating: “Palmer – Alaska at its best.” We couldn’t agree more. Nestled in the valley of the Chugach and Talkeetna mountain ranges, Palmer is a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts, adventure seekers, tourists & foodies alike. Miles of hiking and biking trails begin in Palmer and head out in every direction.
East takes you up Lazy Mountain, Matanuska Peak, the Butte, or deep into the heart of the Knik River Valley – a mecca for ATVs, snow machines, fat tire bikes, and more. South you’ll find the Eklutna Tail Race – one of the best salmon fisheries in the valley, not to mention the Alaska State Fairgrounds. Northwest will take you to Hatcher Pass by way of Government Peak Recreation Area, Independence Mine and even the Musk Ox Farm.

We highly recommend the Mat-Su Resort on Wasilla Lake (we can pick you up lakeside for a flightseeing tour, call to inquire!) and Stillwater Cottages on Lake Lucille. Closer to town, we recommend the Pioneer Motel, the Valley Hotel, Colony Inn, or any number of Airbnbs within walking distance.
We offer year round flightseeing tours and air taxi, with each season offering its unique beauty and attractions. The majority of our featured adventures are only offered during the busy summer months (May through September)
For your Alaska plane tour, we recommend dressing in layers and wearing comfortable clothing suitable for the weather conditions. Don’t forget to bring a camera, sunglasses, sunscreen, and any necessary medications. It’s also a good idea to bring a light snack and a water bottle.
Most likely, yes! For weight & balance purposes, your pilot will make the final decision regarding seating arrangements for your entire group. However, please know every seat is a window seat in our aircraft and your pilot will maneuver the aircraft in flight to ensure everyone gets a good view.
The cost of our flightseeing tours includes your round-trip flight from Palmer, Alaska, your pilot’s time and headsets for every member of your group. We offer local pick-up at select airports and lakeside resorts for an additional cost. Also, weather pending and at your pilot’s discretion, an off-airport landing (and photo opportunity!) may be added to your trip for an additional cost. Call to inquire!
All of our pre-packaged adventure tours are flat rate and include your round-trip flight from Palmer, Alaska, your pilot’s time – including standby time on the ground at your destination, and headsets for every member of your group. Some of the trips include the cost of renting our two foldable, fat tire Sondors e-bikes that will be packed in your aircraft, ready-to-go with you. Meals, equipment rentals, ground tours, etc. are not included in the cost and must be booked by you in advance. Where applicable, we’ve included our own recommendations in the description for each tour.
