Flying in a smaller aircraft allows us to keep this intimate with  flexible routes, and a whole experience curated for you & your group. Whether we land within Lake Clark National Park or along the coastal flats of Chinitna Bay, each flight is planned around conditions, wildlife activity, and light.

On the ground, you’ll observe brown bears as they fish, roam, and interact naturally along salmon streams.. With fewer people and no rushed timelines, this experience is ideal for photographers and wildlife enthusiasts who want room to compose, observe, and simply be present.

Scenic Flightseeing

Your experience includes three+ hours of flightseeing to and from remote bear habitat. Flying in a smaller aircraft gives us the freedom to adapt and explore. On our way to and from your bear viewing destination you’ll fly up the Cook Inlet with stunning views of volcanoes, The Alaska Range, Chugach Mountains, countless glaciers, waterfalls and more.

Time on the Ground with Bears

Once on the ground, the focus shifts to observation and presence. You’ll spend time near active salmon streams, watching brown bears move naturally through their environment as they fish, roam, and interact. With small group sizes and no rushed timelines, this portion of the experience allows space for quiet moments and authentic wildlife encounters.

Built-In Flexibility

Flying in a smaller aircraft gives us the freedom to adapt to the day as it unfolds. Depending on conditions and interest, your flight may include a custom stop for lunch, a scenic detour, or additional time exploring a remote location. This flexibility allows the experience to feel tailored rather than fixed, shaped by the day rather than a preset schedule.

  • 9:00am / Check in For Your Flight:

  • 9:30am / Depart From Palmer Airport on a Scenic flight west toward Lake Clark National Park or Chinitna Bay
  • 11:00am / Land near active bear habitat along salmon streams. Spend time observing and photographing bears on the ground
  • 2:00pm / Depart for Palmer
  • 3:30pm / Arrive Back in Palmer

We are located at Palmer Municipal Airport (PAAQ). Less than an hour from Anchorage. Our address is:

Rather we pick you up? We do offer pick up and drop ‘s off at select hotels & airbnbs in the Matsu Valley and Anchorage. Cost begins at $100. If you’re interested in this option give us a call and we can arrange.

The cost includes your round-trip scenic flight from our hangar in Palmer, Alaska to either Lake Clark Naitonal Park or Chinitna Bay (your pilot will decide based on conditions en route and at the parks); three hours on the ground (your pilot will be your guide), and headsets for every member of your group.

Please note; meals are not provided and due to bear activity in area, food is not allowed in the parks. 

Cancellations due to weather are always refundable or able to be rescheduled, pending availability. Your pilot will be keeping an eye on the weather leading up to your flight, with a final check the morning of, and will be in touch with you directly should there be a need to delay or reschedule due to weather.

Your pilot will be your guide – both in the air and on the ground. 

This tour is private for just you and your group. A minimum of two seats are required to book and the tour caps at 5 passengers (pending weight limitations). 

Our Featured Adventures are offered in either our Cessna 206 (5 guests) or our Cessna 180 (3 guests) depending on availability and group size. Each plane is well maintained and equipped with large windows for the best visibility we can offer to our guests.

While we can never guarantee a sighting, it is very likely. Lake Clark National Park and Chinitna Bay have some of the largest bear populations in the state.
We will be taking you directly to the bears’ natural habitat, at a time when the salmon are running and the bears are feeding and will make every effort to ensure you have an unforgettable experience.
