The Knik Glacier flight tour follows the Knik River Valley with the towering peaks of the Chugach Mountains on both sides of the plane and a braided river running up the valley all the way to the Knik Glacier at the head of the valley.

Rather we pick you up? We do offer pick up and drop ‘s off at select hotels & airbnbs in the Matsu Valley and Anchorage. Cost begins at $100. If you’re interested in this option give us a call and we can arrange.

The Knik Glacier Tour takes you on a scenic flight through the Knik River Valley, surrounded by the majestic Chugach Mountains. The main highlight is the Knik Glacier, one of the largest glaciers in southcentral Alaska, and the beautiful Lake George near the glacier’s face.

While we cannot land directly on the glacier, if you book a tour that includes a landing, we can land in a variety of scenic areas. Landing locations variety based on conditions & your safety is always our priority but could include: dirt strips near iceberg filled lagoons, sand bars, gravel runways, on lakes (frozen ones, too!)

Knik Glacier is one of the largest glaciers in southcentral Alaska, with an ice field averaging 25 miles long and 5 miles wide. The glacier feeds the Knik River, which eventually flows into the Knik Arm, a section of the famous Cook Inlet.

Our  flight tours are typically offered in our Cessna 206 (max 5 guests) or Cessna 180/185 (max 3 guests). Each plane is well maintained and equipped with large windows for the best visibility we can offer to our guests.

Yes! The Knik Glacier Flightseeing Tour is suitable for all ages, offering an exciting and memorable experience for the whole family. Children under the age of 2-years are free. Please note the child must ride on an adult’s lap. We request advance notice of all passengers that will be on the flight, including lap babies.
